"Wonderful Experience"

We want to thank Way West for letting us spend a day with Cheyenne our Indigenous Guide and Dave our Sea Captain.
We felt very lucky to have the opportunity to spend time with them and have them all to ourselves.  Thank you for accommodating our needs so generously.
Cheyenne graciously shared her pride of her culture and her love of the bears.  We both appreciated her patience in helping us understand the Klahoose Territory and sharing her deep understanding of the connection between the bears, the land and her culture.  Cheyenne taught us many things about the grizzlies that are now imprinted in our memories of the trip.
Dave graciously shared his love and respect for the sea, the wildlife and the coast.  He skillfully steered us in the right direction whether to find the Orcas, the Humpbacks and those amazing grizzly.  His photographer eyes spotted eagles, turkey vultures, and other birds as we looked for bears.  Those eyes helped us find the grizzlies and witness them feasting on salmon in the Klite River.
We appreciated both Cheyenne and Dave’s gentle and respectful way of guiding us on this tour. They make a great team!
The grizzlies, Orcas, Humpbacks and birds outdid themselves in sharing their habitat with us.
It was a wonderful experience and we would love to go back and explore the Toba Inlet and Klite River again.  Thank you to the Klahoose people for sharing this beautiful area with us.
With gratitude
Carol and Rusty Joerin

"Fantastic Trip-Highly Recommend"

We took a trip to Toba Inlet back in September and saw around 7 grizzly bears. We were able to easily move between two viewing towers as we were the only group there and could not believe how close the bears were to the towers. It was incredible to see the bears in their natural habitat. The scenery on the way is beautiful and we were lucky enough to spot a humpback whale and her calf. Way West were extremely helpful before we booked the tour and if I had the chance I would do the whole trip again.
